How do I book a home?

You can either book directly on the OutdoorShower website by using the “Search Rentals” box to the left, or you can call/email and we will be glad to assist.

How far in advance can we book
Many guests reserve their vacation far in advance. If you try to reserve dates and the site does not have valid rates for that time period, please call or email. Most of our properties can be reserved further out than our online calendars may suggest.

What if the requested dates don’t meet the minimum stay requirement:
Please give us a call or send an email. That’s often due to how far in advance you are trying to book or minimum night requirements that we can often accommodate.

What time is check in and check out?

Check in is 4:00PM, Check out is 10:00AM (Central Standard Time). Early check in is typically not available during peak season. Late check out may be available for an additional fee, depending on the next check in day and time.

When will I receive access and other information?

An email will be sent at least 3 days in advance of your check in date that will provide all information needed – property access, wifi, gate codes, beach set up and bike rentals, etc.  Please reach out if you have questions ahead of receiving the information.

Can I bring my pet with me?

We do have several dog friendly properties.  Please check the listing to ensure the one you are interested in is dog-friendly.  A pet fee will be collected at the time of your booking.   Renters who bring a pet to a non-pet friendly property will be asked to leave or find accommodations for their pet. 

What is provided at the home?

See the listings for a complete list of amenities by property.  For each home, we provide bed linens; bath and kitchen towels.  We also supply a starter set of toilet paper, paper towels, trash liners, dish soap, dishwasher detergent, sponge, bar soap and liquid hand soap.  More may be provided at some properties.  Note that was is provided may not last your entire stay; this is depended on length of stay and number of guests.

Wifi

Wifi is provided at all properties at no additional cost.

What is your cancellation policy?
All cancellations must be requested in writing.  We will make every effort to rebook the property for the dates in order to provide you the maximum refund.

All cancellations are subject to a $100 cancellation fee.  If booked on another platform that charges a travelers service fee, it is not guaranteed those charges would be refunded.

No refunds for early departures.
 

CANCELLATIONS 60 DAYS OR MORE PRIOR TO ARRIVAL:
Any cancellation 60 days before the scheduled check in date will be fully refunded minus the charges noted above.

CANCELLATIONS WITHIN 30-60 DAYS OF ARRIVAL:
If the property can be rebooked at the same rate, your initial deposit will be refunded minus the charges noted above. If the property must be discounted to rebook, you will be responsible for the difference between your initial rate and the booked rate. Please keep in mind that if you must cancel, the earlier you do so will ensure the best chance of allowing us to rebook the property for the dates of your reservation.
 

CANCELLATIONS WITHIN 30 DAYS OF ARRIVAL:

If the property can be rebooked at the same rate, funds paid will be refunded minus the charges noted above.  If the property must be discounted to rebook, you will be responsible for the difference between your initial rate and the booked rate. Please keep in mind that if you must cancel, the earlier you do so will ensure the best chance of allowing us to rebook the property for the dates of your reservation.


During extreme weather events – i.e. mandatory evacuations – we do make exceptions.  Please see the terms and conditions and the rental agreement for more detail.

Are there surveillance devices at the property?

Please be aware some homes may have surveillance devices located on the exterior of the home and at entry points to the home.  Please contact us with any questions


What are the fees in addition to the property itself?

In addition to the cost of the property itself, each has a cleaning fee, management fee and required state and county taxes.  If you are bringing a dog to one of the dog-friendly properties, a pet fee will be included as well. 
 

What do I do when I leave?

Dishes should be washed and placed or in the dishwasher and the cycle started

Trash should be taken to designated cans outside the property

Bath towels left in the bathrooms

Beds stripped and left on bed (do not remove mattress pads or pillow protectors/shams)

Empty the refrigerator, freezer and pantry

Any furniture and décor placed where it was upon arrival

Ensure property left in a reasonable state of cleanliness
